Entre eles destacamos: a diversidade cultural e a formação do espaço geográfico deste municipio, analisando quanto e como a presença de imigrantes espanhóis e sírios-libaneses significou para configurar esses aspectos. Neste sentido, enfocamos a imigração como fator social que interfere no espaço geográfico, bem como as inter-relações provenientes deste contexto. Como questionamento, levantamos a possibilidade de conexão entre os fatos escritos e relatados por imigrantes e descendentes de espanhóis e sírios-libaneses, não deixando de lado a possibilidade de analisarmos o tema através da ótica geográfica, que envolve as perspectivas de tempo e espaço. Utilizamos como metodologia a História Oral. . Este método objetiva, com o auxilio da memória dos informantes, construir versões sobre o passado que as narrativas permitiam elaborar. Como a imigração está inserida no tema da diversidade cultural, este trabalho considera a imigração como um fenômeno social e cultural variável no tempo e no espaço. / This research was conducted with the perspective to look to various aspects of Spanish and Lebanese Syrian immigration in the geographical space of Piracicaba - SP. These include: cultural diversity and the formation of the geographical space of this city, analyzing how much the presence of Spanish and Syrian- Lebanese immigrants meant in the configuration of these aspects. In this sense, we focus on immigration as a social factor that interferes in geographic space, as well as the interrelationship in this context. How questioning, raised the possibility of connection between the facts reported and written by immigrants and descendants of Spanish and Syrians Lebanese not leaving aside the possibility of analyzing the subject through the geographical, lens which involves the perspectives of time and space. We used the Oral History methodology. This method aims, with the help of the memory of informants, to construct versions of the past that allowed us to elaborate narratives. As immigration is inserted into the theme of cultural diversity, this work considers immigration as a social and cultural variable phenomenon in time and space
