O PEC - Formação Universitária, Programa de Educação Continuada da Secretaria de Educação do Estado de São Paulo realizado em conjunto com a UNESP - Universidade Estadual Paulista, a USP - Universidade de São Paulo e a PUC - Pontifícia Universidade Católica, ocorrido entre junho de 2001 e dezembro de 2002 foi um dos frutos deste esforço. A larga utilização de tecnologia de comunicação e informática foi a marca do programa. Esta característica determinou como o processo de ensino ocorreu. Foi elaborado uma metodologia de ensino revolucionária e que estava condicionada à utilização de tecnologia. Isto permitiu que docentes altamente titulados transmitissem seu conhecimento, das cidades onde estavam, com qualidade, simultaneamente, com comunicação imediata entre os docentes e os discentes, que estavam situados em outras cidades do Estado. Esta metodologia baseada na tecnologia favoreceu a perfeita interação entre os transmissores do conhecimento (os docentes) e seus receptores (os discentes), condição necessária ao sucesso do ensino. Descrever este modelo de ensino, a utilização da tecnologia, seus efeitos na multiplicação do número de receptores(alunos), a multiplicação da função docente, a inovação da função docente, as novas capacidades necessárias ao docente que trabalha com tecnologia e, os resultados deste modelo na formação dos professores da rede pública de ensino do Estado, é o que pretendi no desenvolvimento deste trabalho. / The importance that the teacher's formation for the initial series of the Ensino Fundamental reached from the edition of Law 9,394/96, that establishes the lines of direction and bases of the National Education, conditions the governmental spheres, Federal and states, to develop efforts in the direction to characterize the faculty of its educational structures. The PEC - University Formation, Program of Continued Education of the Secretaria da Educação of the State of São Paulo carried through in set with the UNESP - Universidade Estadual Paulista, USP - Universidade de São Paulo and PUC- Pontifícia Universidade Católica carried through between June of 2001 and December of 2002 was one of the fruits of this effort. The wide use of technology of communication and computer science was the mark of the program. This characteristic determined as the education process occurred. An education methodology was elaborated that was revolutionary and was conditional the use of those technologies. This allowed that professors highly titleholders transmitted its knowledge, of the cities where they were, with quality, simultaneously, with immediate communication between the professors and the learning, that were situated in other cities of the State. This methodology based on the technology favored the perfect interaction enters the transmitters of the knowledge (the professors) and its receivers (the learning), necessary condition to the success of education. To describe this model of education, the use of the technology, its effect in the multiplication of the number of receptores (pupils), the multiplication of the teaching function, the innovation of the teaching function, the necessary new capacities to the professor who works with technology and, the results of this model in the formation of the professors of the public net of education of the State, is what I intended in the development of this work.
