Previous issue date: 1992 / Resumo: Este trabalho apresenta uma análise do significado psicossocial do trabalho para os jovens, tomando por referencial a perspectiva sócio - histórica do desenvolvimento do psiquismo humano. Através deste referencial resgata-se a evolução histórica e o significado social e psicológico do trabalho e discute-se a questão da constituição da juventude, relativizando a sua concepção ao considerá-la de urna forma concreta e histórica e não mais como uma manifestação única, universal e abstrata. Para sustentar a análise do significado psicossocial do trabalho para os jovens e poder compreender suas manifestações e concepções elegeu-se como referencial as noções de representação social e cotidianidade. Este estudo pretende recolocar a problemática dos jovens e de como o trabalho se reveste para eles, sob a ótica de sua realidade concreta e histórica, evidenciando as semelhanças e diferenças nas suas representações e atribuições dadas ao significado do trabalho. Para tanto, realizei entrevistas com 80 jovens de 13 a 18 anos de idade, distribuídos em quatro grupos, a saber, jovens estudantes; estudantes e trabalhadores; trabalhadores e os "excluídos" do mundo do trabalho e da escola. Para compreender as dificuldades, as inquietação e se contradições dos jovens que se manifestaram em suas representações acerca do trabalho, tive que recolocá-los em seu contexto cotidiano, a fim de captar o que vivem e pensam sobre família, laser, amizade, sexualidade, política, religião e, principalmente, sobre a escola. As análises permitiram evidenciar que o significado do trabalho para a maioria dos jovens assume a conotação de Dever/Necessidade. 0 trabalho aparece designando instrumento para a sobrevivência e para o sustento, superando a visão positiva de trabalho como valor para a realização pessoal. Considerando o objetivo que norteou a execução deste trabalho, conclui - se que não existe uma única categoria de jovens; há, sim, jovens com condições objetivas de vida diferentes, refletindo essas diferenças em seu psiquismo. As diferenças e semelhanças ficaram evidenciadas quando foi confrontado o seu cotidiano e apresentado o significado que o trabalho assume para os jovens. Não se pode dizer que os jovens entrevistados possuem uma concepção homogênea de trabalho, ao contrário, as diferenças, em número mais significativo e relevante que as semelhanças, parecem indicar que as condições objetivas de vida - no cotidiano, na família e na escola manifestam diferenças no significado que os jovens atribuem a o trabalho, e que se refletem de maneira diferente no seu desenvolvimento enquanto totalidade concreta. / Abstract: This study presents an analysis of the psycho-social meaning young's give to work, on the grounds of a social -historical view of the human psyche evolution. Through that it is possible to restore the historical evolution and the social and psychological meaning of work, while discussing the question of the young's constitution, which makes relative their idea of work when considering it under a concrete and historical point of view and not as a universal, abstract and sole meaning. In order to sustain that analysis of the psycho-social meaning of work given by young's and be able to understand their expressions and conceptions, we have chosen, as reference, the notions on "Social Representation" and "Quotidianity" theories. This study intends to show the question of young's and their idea of Work under the view of their concrete and historical reality, emphasizing the similarities and differences of their representations and attributes imputed to the work meaning. With that purpose 80 interviews have been carried out with young's between 13 and 18 years old, distributed in 4 groups - people who only study; people who study and work; people who only work and people who are "excluded" from both work and school. To understand the troubles, uncertainties and contraditions of the young's, which were expressed in their views of work, it was necessary to place the min to their daily context where it would be easier to grasp their feelings on family, entertainment, sexuality, friendship, politics, religion and, mainly, on school. A scrutiny of the interviews has shown that, work, for most of the young interview e d has a connotation with duty/obligation. Work is defined as an instrument for surviving, for earn a living, lacking the positive view of work as a value for person at fulfillment. Bearing in mind the purpose which directed the development of this study it has been concluded that, there isn't only one kind of young's, but young's of different real life conditions, which are reflect e don their psyche. The differences an (similarities are evident when the different young people: daily lives are compared and the respectively different ideas of Work expressed. Thus, one cannot say that the 80 young's interviewed have all of them the same conception of work; on the contrary, the differences, more significant in number then the similarities, seem to indicate that the real conditions of life in the day-to-day activities, in the family and at school - represent the differences in the that the young's make of Work, which have an influence on their development while a concrete totality. / Doutorado / Psicologia Educacional / Doutor em Educação
