Previous issue date: 1995 / Resumo: Esta pesquisa procura investigar as possíveis transformações das representações matemáticas por que passaram os alunos da turma de 1989 do CEF AM/Campinas, tendo por base a identificação e análise dos mitos que sustentam essas representações. Para tanto, processou-se uma descrição e análise em três momentos distintos vivenciados por ex-alunos da referida turma. De acordo com a abordagem delineada acima, a pesquisa foi organizada da seguinte maneira: Em um primeiro momento, realizou-se um estudo teórico a partir de uma análise de parte da bibliografia existente sobre o tema em questão, buscando resgatar as possíveis interferências das concepções matemáticas no processo ensino-aprendizagem, mais especificamente na formação de professores das séries iniciais. Em um segundo momento, realizou-se um estudo prático onde foram resgatadas as concepções matemáticas apresentadas pelos sujeitos, ou seja, os mitos, valores, crenças a respeito da Matemática, quando do ingresso no curso de magistério do CEFAM e após o processo de sua formação. E, em seguida, foram realizadas observações da ação pedagógica de três sujeitos pertencentes à pesquisa, cuja descrição e análise de sua ação pedagógica possibilitou-nos verificar o redimensionamento de suas concepções e atitudes a respeito da Matemática. Este fato evidenciou a importância da superação de certos mitos, crenças, valores e falsas concepções com relação à Matemática com vistas à uma transformação na ação pedagógica do futuro professor. Decorrente deste estudo são delineadas algumas inferências e considerações finais de ordem metodológica, visando à superação dos mitos, crenças, relativas à Matemática e que vêm interferindo negativamente no processo ensino-aprendizagem dessa disciplina / Abstract: The research attempts to investigate possible changes in the mathematical representations underwent by students of CEF AM/Campinas in 1989 The basis of this study are the identification and the analysis of the myths that support representations. Therefore, the author decided to conduct a three-stage description and analysis of the process experienced by the students of 1989. According to the approach outlined above, the research was organized as it follows. Firstly, there is a theoretical study by analyzing part of the bibliography about the topic of the discussion. More specifically, the objective of the was to try recover possible interferences of mathematical concepts in the teaching-learning process during the qualification of elementary teachers. Secondly, a practical study was made to recover the mathematical concepts of the students (their myths, values and beliefs about Mathematics) at the moment of their entrance to CEFAM and their after the process of their qualification. Finally, it was observed the pedagogical performance of three students involved with the research. The description and the analysis of their performances allowed the verification of reorganization in the student's concepts and attitudes towards mathematics. This fact evidenced the importance of overcoming certain myths, beliefs, va1ues and incorrect concepts related to Mathematics in order to change the pedagogical performance of future teachers. As a result of this research, the author presents some methodological inferences and final considerations with views to overcome myths and beliefs related to Mathematics, which interfere negatively in the teaching-learning process of this subject / Mestrado / Metodologia do Ensino / Mestre em Educação
