D'abord, elle parle de maruere générale de Ia prabIematique de Ia relation Litterature/Histoire, en faisant un panorama conceptuel
qui débouche sur Ia compréhension de Ia specificité de chacune des configurations du discours. Apres, a partir des theories de Mikhail Bakhtin sur Ie genre ramanesque, Ia these souIeve et analyse Ie pIan métalinguistique de I'oeuvre de Verissimo, en montrant une mutation croissante de son écriture et, au même temps, I'explicitation d'une poétique du romanoLa these se termine avec une vérificationde Ia réIation entre Ies pIans du récit et du métalinguistique, en relevant I'analyse de Ia thématique fictionelle de Ia Revolution de 1930 / Resumo: A dissertação analisa a tematização da Revoluçãode Ttinta na trilogia O Tempo e o Vento, do escritor gaúcho Erico Verissimo (Cruz Alta-RS, 1905 - Porto Alegre-RS, 1975). Em um primeiro momento, discute de forma geral a problemática da relação Literatura/História, elaborando um quadro conceitual que encaminha o entendimento da especificidade de cada uma das configurações discursivas. A seguir, a partir das teorizações de Mikhail Bakhtin acerca do gênero romanesco, a dissertação levanta e analisa o plano metanarrativo da obra verissimiana, demonstrando a progressiva
mutação do fazer romanesco e a concomitante explicitação de uma poéticado romance. Finaliza com a verificação da relação entre os planos narrativo e metanarrativo, especificamente com a análise da tematização ficcional da Revolução deTrinta / Abstract: The thesis analyses the thematic treatment of the Revolution0/1930thin the trilogy o Tempo e o Vento (Time and the Wind), by Erico Verissimo (Cruz Alta-RS, 1905 - Porto Alegre-RS, 1975). Firstly, there is a general discussion about the relationship between Literature/History, with the elaboration of a conceptual structure to guide the understanding of the specificity of each of these discourse configurations. Then, departing fram Mikhail Bakhtin's theory of the novel, the thesis raises and analyses the metanarrative leveI of Verissimo's work, demonstrating the progressive mutation in the
writing of the trilogy and the concomitant explicitation of a Poetics of the novel. The work ends by asserting the relationship between the narrative and metanarrative levels, specifically with the analysis o f the fictional representation o f the Revolutionif 1930th / Mestrado / Teoria Literaria / Mestre em Letras
