Previous issue date: 2012 / Resumo: Este estudo se propõe a analisar a relação entre leitura e coautoria em A Rainha dos Cárceres da Grécia, de Osman Lins (1976), bem como seus desdobramentos. A fim de traçar o papel do leitor sugerido por essa obra do escritor pernambucano, serão abordadas as seguintes questões, as quais remetem a facetas da leitura literária: o processo de significação; a relação entre leitura, experiência e identidade; a escrita da leitura e o jogo de autoria; e, por fim, as repercussões da crise da Literatura moderna no ato de ler. A proximidade entre leitura e criação - que ganha evidência nos textos modernistas do século XX e é um dos temas centrais de A Rainha dos Cárceres da Grécia - têm algumas repercussões: quem lê assume um lugar de destaque e, assim como o escritor, deve mergulhar universo ficcional e estabelecer pontes entre a ficção e o dito mundo real. A aproximação entre leitura e autoria, portanto, não envolve somente elementos estéticos, mas acarreta também um novo leque de responsabilidades ao leitor, a quem cabe estabelecer uma relação entre o livro, sua experiência e a realidade empírica, alterando sua percepção sobre o mundo e sobre si a partir da consciência trazida pelos livros lidos. Nesse sentido, um dos propósitos dessa pesquisa é mostrar como a metalinguagem não se restringe a aspectos estilísticos e formais, pois põe em jogo o vínculo entre o universo ficcional e a dita realidade. O diário-ensaio-romance de Osman sugere, porém, que essa ponte não deve necessariamente vir explicitada pelo autor, sendo uma das atribuições do leitor construí-la / Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyse the relation between reading and co-authoring, as its effects in Osman Lins' A Rainha dos Cárceres da Grécia (1976). In order to perceive the role of the reader suggested by this book, we will discuss the following questions, which refer to aspects of literary reading: the process of meaning, the relation between reading, experience and identity, the writing of the reading process and the backstage of authorship. The repercussions of the crisis of modern literature in the act of reading also will be considered. The proximity between reading and creation, one of the central themes in A Rainha dos Cárceres da Grécia, which became more intense in the modernist texts of the twentieth century, has some consequences: the one who reads assumes a prominent place and must, as the writer, be immerse in the fictional world and establish links between fiction and the so-called "reality". This contiguity, therefore, doesn't involve only aesthetic elements, but also implies a new set of responsibilities to the reader, who must establish relations between the book, his experience and the empirical reality, changing his perception about the world and about himself through the awareness brought by the fiction. In this sense, one of the purposes of this research is to show that metalanguage is not restricted to formal and stylistic aspects, but it also encloses a connection between fiction and the reality. This Osman Lins' diary-essay-novel suggests, however, that the writer does not need to make these links clear, because one of the reader's task is to establish them / Doutorado / Literatura Brasileira / Doutor em Teoria e História Literária
