Previous issue date: 1999 / Resumo: O presente trabalho teve como propósito inicial saber se, no contingente das crianças hospitalizadas, haveria a aceitação da arte de clown como um dos elementos lúdicos incorporados ao tratamento, confirmando nosso pressuposto de que o clown troca com a criança o riso no momento de dor. O objetivo da dissertação é tecer uma análise científica e pragmática da arte e técnica de clown como conteúdo de um programa de lazer às crianças hospitalizadas. A pesquisa empírica foi realizada no Centro Infantil de Investigações Hematológicas Dr. Domingos A. Boldrini com crianças de O a 18 anos, portadores de câncer e doenças hematológicas, incluindo outras presenças. O trabalho de arte de clown com as crianças ou adolescentes do Boldrini foi traçado de forma que atingisse o ponto que os medicamentos não estavam atingindo, a alma. Também enfocamos lazer e suas relações com a arte de clown, sentindo que entre as áreas há confluência de aspectos lúdicos, artísticos, criativos e terapêuticos na participação do paciente infantil como clown. Por outro lado, a arte de fazer rir como função social, desde os primórdios, passa por um processo de transformação chegando ao hospital. A autora foi sujeito e objeto da pesquisa, traçando diretrizes, atuando como instrumento e comprometida com a relação artística e afetiva. No método de registro da atuação do clown, escolhemos a técnica de entrevista aberta. O tratamento dado ao material foi qualitativo. A análise final dos participantes indicou a continuidade do trabalho do clown. Em suma, o conteúdo e a estrutura da dissertação oferecem subsídios para futura elaboração de um curso de treinamento de clowns para atuar no hospital, prestando homenagem às crianças do Boldrini e a Luís Otávio Burnier, que orientou as bases artísticas da pesquisa / Abstract: The present paper had as an inicial purpose to find out if on the contingent of hospitalized children there would be the acceptation of the clown art as one of the ludic elements within the treatment, confirming our hypothese that the clown makes the child in the moment of pain exchange the pain for the laugh.The objective of this thesis is to make a cientific and pragmatical analysis of the clown art and technique as leisure to hospitalized children.The impiric research was made in the Children's Center Hematological Investigations Dr.Domingos ABoldrini with the children aged Oto 18, who have cancer and hematological iIInesses, including other presences.The clown artwork with children or tennagers was elaborated in a way that it would reach the point the medicines weren't reaching, the soul. We focus, as well, leisure and its relationship with the clown art, believing that in these two areas there is confluence between of ludic, artistic, creative and therapeutical aspects. On the other hand, the art of amusing as a social function, since ancient times, has gone through a process of transformation and in these later days it h.asbeeb introduced to hospitals.The author was subject and object of this research, elaborating directives, acting as an instrument and engaged in an afective and artistic relationship. In this method registration of clown performance we chose the open interview technique. The treatment given to the material was qualitative. The final analysis of the participants indicated the continuity the clownwork. ln short, the content and the structure of the thesis may contribute to future elaboration for a training course of clown to perform in the hospital, doing homage to Boldrini and Luís Otávio Bumier's children who helped to give direction to the artistic bases of the research / Mestrado / Estudos do Lazer / Mestre em Educação Física
