Previous issue date: 1980 / Resumo: Estuda-se o problema da dependência da resistividade com a temperatura em metais ferromagnéticos com estruturas de dominios tipo parede de Bloch de 180°, e da magnetoresistividade para estruturas helicoidais de spin. O formalismo utilizado no cálculo da resistividade se baseia na teoria de resposta linear de Kubo, para o qual se propõe uma extensão que leva em conta os efeitos do banho térmico no processo de relaxação do sistema para o equilíbrio. O mecanismo de espalhamento proposto é o de interação "s-f" ou "s-d", entre os elétrons de condução e os spins localizados da rede. Os resultados obtidos explicam satisfatoriamente os dados experimentais, e prevem outros efeitos não obtidos em trabalhos teóricos anteriores / Abstract: A twofold study of the transport properties of magnetic materials is presented: a) A calculation of the temperature dependence of the resistivity of ferromagnetic metals with domain structures (with 180º Bloch walls); and b) a calculation of the magnetoresistivity for helicoidal spin structures as those presented by the rare earth metals. The formalism used involves an extension of the Kubo theory of linear response, which takes into account the role of the heat bath in the process of relaxation to equilibrium. The scattering mechanism proposed in both cases is the "s-d" or "s-f" interaction between conductions, electrons and localized magnetic moments. The results obtained explain satisfactorily experimental data, and predict others effects that are not obtained by previous theoretical works / Doutorado / Física / Doutor em Ciências
