Previous issue date: 1982 / Resumo: Neste trabalho descrevemos a teoria e a construção de um Elipsômetro Fotométrico Automático e a sua aplicação à medida das partes real e imaginária da constante dielétrica de um filme de ouro em todo espectro visível.
O instrumento é controlado por um microcomputador que também é usado para redução de dados.
Incluímos também uma discussão da precisão e sensibilidade do instrumento, mostrando também como os resultados das medidas são independentes da intensidade da luz incidente / Abstract: In this work we describe the theory and the construction of an Automatic Photometric Elipsometer and its application to the measurement of the real and the imaginary part of the dielectric constant of an Au thin film over the visible spectrum.
The instrument is controlled by a microcomputer which is also used for data reduction.
We also include a discussion of the precision and the sensibility of the instrument, showing that the results are independent of the intensity of the incident light / Mestrado / Física / Mestre em Física
