Previous issue date: 2002 / Resumo: o objetivo dessa dissertação é a análise do grupo empresarial na Câmara dos Deputados, em sua 51a legislatura (1999-2003). A hipótese principal é que os empresários se diferenciam dos demais segmentos sócio-profissionais existentes na
Câmara, no que diz respeito ao tipo de carreira política exercida pelo grupo empresarial até a ascensão à CD (carreira política mais curta), e aos recursos utilizados para o ingresso na vida política. Mas, como se sabe, o grupo empresarial não é um grupo homogêneo. Por essa razão, são abordadas as distinções internas do grupo empresarial, destacando-se duas principais variáveis: uma, que se relaciona com o tipo de atividade empresarial (urbana, rural ou mista) e outra, que se relaciona com o Estado de onde provem o parlamentar, o que introduz, na análise, o fator regional. Na verdade, esse ponto vincula-se com as diferenças na composição social das bancadas tais como a dimensão patrimonial dos empresários; com a idade de ingresso no meio político; os tipos de trajetórias seguidas até a ascensão à CD e com os recursos utilizados para o ingresso e progressão na carreira política empresarial / Abstract: The objective of this dissertation it is the analysis of the undertaking group at the Chamber of Deputies on it's 51st legislature (1999-2003). The principal hypothesis is that the undertakers make themselves different of the other segment already
existent at the chamber, talking about the kind of politic career done by the undertaking group until the ascension at CD (shortest politic career), and to resorts used to get into the politic life. But as it's known, the undertaking group is not an homogeneous
group. On that score, are talked about the intern distinction of the principais changeable: oue that's about the undertaking activity (urban, country or mixture), and other about the state where the parliamentary comes from what introduces, in the analysis, the regional factor. Indeed, this point link to the difference in the social composition on the patrimonial dimension of the undertakers; with the age to get into the politic career; the kind of trajectories followed until the ascension at CD, and with the resorts used to get in and progression in the politic under taking career / Mestrado / Mestre em Ciência Política
