Previous issue date: 2015 / Introdução: A abdominoplastia é a quarta cirurgia estética mais realizada
no Brasil. Alterações no comportamento alimentar podem estar presentes antes e após esse processo cirúrgico. Objetivo: Avaliar o comportamento alimentar em mulheres submetidas à abdominoplastia. Métodos: Foram
selecionadas 51 pacientes, com idade entre 25 e 50 anos e IMC entre 18,5 e
29,9 kg/m², em acompanhamento no Ambulatório de Cirurgia Plástica do
Setor Abdome do Hospital São Paulo. As pacientes foram entrevistadas
previamente à abdominoplastia e seis meses após o procedimento, com os
seguintes instrumentos: Questionário Holandês de Comportamento
Alimentar (QHCA) e Escala de Compulsão Alimentar Periódica (ECAP).
Resultados: Seis meses após a abdominoplastia, por meio do QHCA,
observou-se um aumento de nível na alimentação restrita (t= 5,00 - p <
0,001), emocional (t= 10,67 - p < 0,001) e externa (t= 10,44 - p < 0,001).
Segundo análise por meio da ECAP, as pacientes apresentaram compulsão
alimentar de moderada a grave após seis meses do procedimento cirúrgico
(p<0,001) e foi observado um ganho de peso de, em média 2,0 kg.
Conclusão: As mulheres submetidas à abdominoplastia apresentaram
capacidade reduzida de controlar a compulsão alimentar após seis meses da
abdominoplastia. / Introduction: Abdominoplasty is the fourth most performed aesthetic
surgerie in Brazil and modifications on the nutritional behavior can be
presented before or after this surgical procedure. Objective: To evaluate
the nutritional behavior on women submited to abdominoplasty. Methods:
It was sellected 51 pacients aged between 25 and 50 years old, with an IMC
index between 18, 5 and 29, 9 kg/m2
, followed up in the Plastic Surgery
Ambulatory of the belly sector of Hospital São Paulo. The patients were
interviwed before the abdominosplasty and six months after the procedure
through the subsequent instruments: Dutch Eating Behavior Questionnaire
(DEBQ) and Binge-Eating Scale (BES), both questionnaires were adapted
to the Portuguese language. Results: Six months after the surgery, by
means of the DEBQ, it was observed an increase in the restricted feeding
process (t=5.00 – p<0.001), in the emotional feeding process (t=10.67 –
p<0.001) and in the external feeding process (t= 10.44 – p<0.001). By
means of the BES, the patients presented from a moderate to an acute
alimentary compulsion after six months of the surgery (p<0,001) and it was
observed a weigh gain with an average of 2 kg. Conclusion: Women
submitted to abdominoplasty reported a reduced capacity to control the
eating compulsion after six months of the aforesaid surgery.
