Previous issue date: 2013-12-10 / Universidade Estadual Paulista J?lio de Mesquita Filho / This research have as participants its scholarship students ProUni, in other words, students coming from public schools in primary education who have scholarships by the federal government in exchange for tax exemption for Institutions of Higher Education (IHE) and its purpose is to analyze the consciousness of these students from the conception they have of their inclusion in Higher Education (HE), compared to the situation in which they live. The theoretical introduction has four axes: To whom the university serves? Historical Landmarks of the Brazilian Higher Education; ProUni - Wolf in sheep's clothing?; Psychology and Higher Education, and The Process of Consciousness. The method used was qualitative, and data analysis was inspired by historical materialism dialectic, since it is understood that as a consequence of the historical context and the dialectical movement is the issue of transformation of the phenomenon and reality. The techniques for data collection was the virtual ethnography from the group in a social network created by students to bring together scholarship students interested in the topic, because many participants can express themselves virtually with more ease than in a situation socially imposed in the real life, and the field diaries of all spaces on the subject. The plan of analysis consists of results in the resumption of objectives to specify them according to each technique, explain the data obtained, thus, analyzes them. The conclusion of this study is that ProUni although to comply with its objective, is not the best way to access low income students, it does not guarantee the permanence of the student within the IHE, students aware they have a right to public education, free, quality, therefore attempt to organize to change their reality; the students assistance is needed to stay in the HE, this assistance should come as the IHE initiative and not the government, going against the logic of existent public private partnership in higher education; the psychologist work in higher education is important, promoting collective/individual orientations to students and assisting other professionals are designed to guide them; the organization of students can successfully improvements to the student residence, and further studies are needed in the area to discuss the prejudice that ProUni students suffer inside the IHE, like the vast participation of women in the movement. / Esta pesquisa tem como participantes estudantes bolsistas do ProUni, ou seja, estudantes provindos de escolas p?blicas no ensino b?sico que t?m a concess?o de bolsas pelo governo federal em troca de isen??o de impostos para as Institui??es de Ensino Superior (IES) e seu objetivo ? analisar a consci?ncia desses estudantes a partir da concep??o que eles t?m de sua inser??o no Ensino Superior (ES), frente ? conjuntura em que vivem. A introdu??o te?rica tem quatro eixos: Universidade a servi?o de quem? - Marcos Hist?ricos do Ensino Superior Brasileiro; ProUni Lobo em pele de cordeiro?; Psicologia e o Ensino Superior; e O Processo de Tomada de Consci?ncia. O m?todo utilizado foi o qualitativo, sendo que a an?lise dos dados foi inspirada no Materialismo Hist?rico Dial?tico, pois entende-se que, como consequ?ncia do contexto hist?rico e do movimento dial?tico ? que surge a quest?o da transforma??o do fen?meno e da realidade. As t?cnicas para coleta de dados foram a etnografia virtual a partir de grupo criado pelos estudantes em uma rede social para aglutinar bolsistas interessados no tema, pois, segundo os autores, muitos participantes conseguem se expressar virtualmente com mais desenvoltura que na vida real em uma situa??o socialmente imposta, os di?rios de campo de todos os espa?os sobre o tema. O plano de an?lise dos resultados consistiu na retomada dos objetivos a fim de especific?-los de acordo com cada t?cnica, explicitando os dados obtidos e analisando-os. A conclus?o desse estudo ? que ProUni, apesar de cumprir com seu objetivo, n?o ? a melhor forma de acesso aos estudantes de baixa renda, pois n?o garante a perman?ncia do estudante dentro da IES; os estudantes tem consci?ncia que t?m direito ? educa??o p?blica, gratuita, de qualidade, portanto procuram se organizar para mudar sua realidade; a assist?ncia estudantil ? necess?ria para a perman?ncia no ES; essa assist?ncia deve vir como iniciativa da IES e n?o do governo, indo de encontro com a l?gica de Parceria P?blico Privada existente na educa??o superior; trabalho do psic?logo no Ensino Superior ? importante, promovendo orienta??es coletivas/individuais aos estudantes e auxiliando os outros profissionais designados a orienta-los; a organiza??o dos estudantes pode conseguir melhorias para a perman?ncia do estudante; e s?o necess?rios mais estudos na ?rea para discutir o preconceito que os ProUnistas sofrem dentro das IES, assim como a grande participa??o das mulheres no movimento.
