Previous issue date: 2014-12-17 / The present work aims at to reflect, in the scope of the Discourse Analysis, of the Pêcheux tradition, on the direction attributed to some tattoos for the Cartilha de Orientação Policial Tatuagens: Desvendando Segredos , opposing it to the directions produced for citizens that have the same tattoos. We understand that they are about directions produced and mobilized for two distinct instances, one represented for the Military Policy of the State of the Bahia and, to other, represented for tattooed citizens that are unaware of the Cartilha. For the gesture of interpretation of the directions of the tattoos, understood here as space where if they materialize speeches, whose sensible they produce different effect, we use principles and procedures used for the theory which in we affiliate them in the analysis of the linguistics materiality. The study it is divided in five chapters: the first one, destined to the knowledge of the Cartilha; the second, reserved for a bibliographical exercise of the tattoos in order to understand as it was its (re) meaning until the present moment; the third, dedicated one to the theory of the subjectivity, where we reflect on the citizen; e the two last ones, considered for the analytical-interpretation procedure. In this way, we work the produced effect of direction, in the measure where we have felt presented by a repressor device, in an authoritarian speech, and felt given by citizens that make use of tattoo, both enrolled ones in distinct speech imaginary formations and affected by also distinct imaginary / O presente trabalho visa refletir, no âmbito da Análise de Discurso de tradição pêcheuxtiana, sobre o sentido atribuído a algumas tatuagens pela Cartilha de Orientação Policial Tatuagens: Desvendando Segredos, contrapondo-o aos sentidos produzidos por sujeitos que possuem as mesmas tattoos. Compreendemos que se tratam de sentidos produzidos e mobilizados por duas instâncias distintas, uma representada pela Polícia Militar do Estado da Bahia e, a outra, representada por sujeitos tatuados que desconhecem a Cartilha. Para o gesto de interpretação dos sentidos das tatuagens, aqui entendida como espaço onde se materializam discursos, cujos sentidos produzem diferentes efeitos, empregamos princípios e procedimentos utilizados pela teoria a qual nos filiamos na análise da materialidade linguística. O estudo divide-se em cinco capítulos: o primeiro, destinado ao conhecimento da Cartilha; o segundo, reservado para um exercício bibliográfico da tatuagem a fim de compreendermos como foi sua (re)significação até o presente momento; o terceiro, dedicado à teoria da subjetividade, em que refletimos sobre o sujeito; e os dois últimos, propostos para o procedimento analítico-interpretativo. Nesse caminho, trabalhamos os efeitos de sentido produzidos, na medida em que temos sentidos apresentados por um aparelho repressor, num discurso autoritário, e sentidos dados por sujeitos que fazem uso da tattoo, ambos inscritos em formações discursivas distintas e afetados por imaginários também distintos
