Previous issue date: 2016-06-08 / This research aims to build a prototype of a digital “Place
of Memory” for the Military Fire Department Staff of Santa
Catarina (CBMSC) by using a collaborative tool on the
Internet. The CBMSC is an institution responsible for
providing public security service and it consists of
individuals, who have not only their own history, but also
the corporate memory as professionals. In order to build
and preserve the memory of this group, the proposal here
is to create tools that may record, preserve and
disseminate this memory and still make it known by those
who want to understand one side of the history, the
characters, the events and happenings concerning the
military firefighters of Santa Catarina and their institution.
Given the size of the corporation in the state, the research
was conducted within a information unit at the Educational
Center of Military Firefighters (EMBC). The Network of
Memories, name of the prototype, was developed as a
product for the CBMSC Library. In order to develop the
research, a number of concepts of scholars from the fields
of History, Library and Information Science were
addressed, as well as concepts related to colaborativity on
the internet. The methodology used for this study was the
action-research with theoretical and empirical purposes,
supported by bibliographical and documental research.
Oral history was used as well, as when firefighters were
interviewed in order to produce, based on their reports, the
contents of the Network of Memories. At the final cycles of
the action-research, the product for the CBMSC Library
was developed using a wiki software. The research
allowed knowing the institution, gathering content that
made possible to develop the prototype and establishing
guidelines for the creation of the Network of Memories. It
is believed that the use of the wiki can provide a necessary
collaborative environment for the registration of both
collective and individual memories of the CBMSC staff, as
well as its own history. / Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo a construção e a apresentação de um protótipo de ?lugar de memória? digital do efetivo do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar de Santa Catarina (CBMSC), com o uso de ferramenta colaborativa na internet. O CBMSC, instituição de serviço de segurança pública, é formado por indivíduos que possuem não só sua própria história, mas também a memória da corporação, enquanto profissionais. Para a construção e preservação da memória deste grupo, propõe-se criar uma ferramenta que possa registrar, preservar e divulgar esta memória e ainda fazer com que ela seja conhecida por aqueles que desejam compreender uma face da história, os personagens, eventos e acontecimentos dos bombeiros militares catarinenses e sua instituição. Tendo em vista a dimensão da corporação no Estado, a investigação foi realizada em uma unidade da instituição, o Centro de Ensino Bombeiro Militar. A Rede de memórias, nome do protótipo em questão, foi desenvolvida como um produto da Biblioteca CBMSC. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, foram abordados os conceitos de estudiosos das áreas da História, da Biblioteconomia e da Ciência da Informação, relativos à colaboratividade no âmbito da internet. A metodologia adotada foi a pesquisa-ação, com caráter teórico-empírico, apoiada por pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Utilizou-se também a história oral, na qual bombeiros militares foram entrevistados a fim de produzir, com os seus relatos, o conteúdo da Rede de memórias. Nos ciclos finais da pesquisa-ação, foi desenvolvido o produto para a Biblioteca CBMSC utilizando um software wiki. A investigação permitiu conhecer a instituição, reunir conteúdos que possibilitaram a elaboração do protótipo e estabelecer diretrizes para a criação da Rede de
memórias. Acredita-se que o uso do wiki poderá propiciar um ambiente colaborativo necessário para o registro da memória individual e coletiva do efetivo do CBMSC, bem como para a sua história.
