The Folias of Saint Kings , inherited from the colonisers portugueses settlers and developed here with own haracteristics, it is a rare beauty manifestation. Accomplished, above all, with the intention of paying a promisse, the Folias of Saint Kings becomes the own mission of life of those who surrender to it. Having this panorama delineated by this popular devotion, we try to understand the way that these people orientate their lives generating meant relationship between the sacred and social word / O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a religiosidade popular presente nas Companhias de Folias de Reis na cidade de Três Lagoas/MS, que se inicia anualmente no dia vinte e quatro de dezembro com término em seis de janeiro, cujo objetivo é rememorar a jornada bíblica dos Reis Magos até o encontro do Menino-Jesus. Neste período, grupos de cantadores e instrumentistas percorrem a cidade entoando versos relativos à visita dos reis magos ao Menino Jesus. Passam de porta em porta em busca de oferendas, que podem variar. A Folia de Reis, herdada dos colonizadores portugueses e desenvolvida aqui com características próprias, é manifestação de rara beleza. Realizada, sobretudo, com o intuito de se pagar uma promessa, as Folias dos Santos Reis torna-se a própria missão de vida daqueles que se entregam a ela. E tendo este panorama delineado por esta devoção popular, buscamos compreender a maneira como estes sujeitos
norteiam suas vidas, gerando significados intercambiantes entre o mundo sagrado e social
