Previous issue date: 2015-08-25 / The environmental degradation state is undoubtedly understood as very important, as the impact generated by the increase in levels of development and population creates an unprecedented situation in our relationship with nature. The different readings on the environment it operates in an argument that interrelates the set of natural and social systems in which individuals live and the animals from which they draw their livelihood. In this context, highlights the importance in understanding the negative or positive environmental impacts are the result of human action as the very nature of where they draw their livelihood. This study aimed to evaluate the environmental changes in Itahum District region comprising an area of 1365.20 square kilometers from 1986 to 2014. He was employed thematic mapping classes to evaluate the quantification of the occupied areas, being characterized in due to its extent and prevalence of its occurrence in the landscape. Satellite images were analyzed and compared with each other, using geoprocessing techniques to identify changes between types of land use and land cover in different periods. Comparison of these maps, executed in different periods, allowed us to analyze the dynamics of the use and coverage of land. After analyzing the data obtained were submitted scenic flight in order to obtain images that portray the reality of this district. In twenty eight years, the landscape of Itahum District has undergone significant changes due to human activities. As a result contacted was a decrease of wetlands at 1%, probably as a cause of man's invasion to these areas related to time to encourage forestry. The vegetation which in 1986 recorded 23% and has fallen by 8%, which corresponds to 10,921 ha that were cleared due to favorable conditions for agricultural expansion in the region. Finally anthropic the category that grew by 9% during this period, which added to the existing one, reached in 2014 70% of the district, an area equivalent to 95 564 ha. The data obtained in this study reveal the expansion of human activities that contradict the broad consensus of the need to sustainably manage our forests so that they can remain a source of livelihood, and does not meet the prerogatives of the Forest Code in effect. / O estado de degradação do meio ambiente é sem dúvida, compreendida como de suma importância, visto que os impactos gerados pelo crescimento dos níveis de desenvolvimento e da população gera uma situação sem precedentes em nossa relação com a natureza. As distintas leituras sobre o meio ambiente se insere em um argumento que inter-relaciona o conjunto de sistemas naturais e sociais em que convivem os indivíduos e os animais, de onde extraem o seu sustento. Neste âmbito, destaca-se a importância em compreender que os impactos ambientais negativos ou positivos são decorrentes da ação humana quanto da própria natureza de onde extraem sua subsistência. O presente estudo teve o objetivo de avaliar as alterações ambientais na região do distrito de Itahum que compreende uma área de 1.365,20 km² no período de 1986 a 2014. Foi empregado o mapeamento de classes temáticas visando avaliar a quantificação das áreas ocupadas, sendo caracterizadas em função de sua extensão e predominância de sua ocorrência na paisagem. Foram analisadas imagens de satélites e confrontadas entre si, empregando técnicas de geoprocessamento para identificação das alterações ocorridas entre tipos de uso e cobertura de terra em diferentes períodos. A comparação desses mapas, executados em períodos distintos, permitiu analisar a dinâmica do uso e cobertura das terras. Após análise dos dados obtidos, foi realizado voo panorâmico com intuito de obter imagens que retratasse a realidade deste distrito. Em vinte oito anos, a paisagem do distrito de Itahum passou por alterações significativas devido às ações antrópicas. Como resultado constatou-se um decréscimo das zonas úmidas em 1%, provavelmente como causa da invasão do homem a estas áreas relacionado ao momento de incentivo a silvicultura. A vegetação que em 1986 registrou 23%, teve uma queda de 8%, o que corresponde a 10.921 há-1 desmatados devidas as condições favoráveis para expansão agropecuária da região. Por fim a categoria antropizado que apresentou um acréscimo de 9% no período avaliado, que somados ao já existente, atingiram em 2014, 70% do distrito, que é uma área equivalente a 95.564 há-1. Os dados obtidos neste trabalho revelam a expansão da atividade antrópica que contrapõem ao consenso mundial da necessidade de gerir de forma sustentável as nossas florestas para que elas possam continuar sendo uma fonte de subsistência, assim como não atende as prerrogativas do Código Florestal em vigência.
