Previous issue date: 2015-01-08 / This is a Creative Writing project, therefore it starts with a fictional narrative: Just
the Title?s Missing (yes, this is the title), about which I will not offer any information
because there are some readers who don?t like to know anything before reading;
and because this is an abstract and not a book flap; and because some currently
believe that it doesn?t matter what the author has to say about their book. But,
even so, I would like to say that I not only see this project as a narrative but also
as research into themes that are dear to me in the production of fiction and in the
observation of the world. Just the Title?s Missing is followed by the essay The
Boxed Writer ? Or Who Wants to Be A Writer in Brazil and Other Questions for
Characters Who Don?t Exist. This essay starts with my observation of some of
the peculiarities of the character Edmundo Dornelles, the protagonist of Just the
Title?s Missing. Such peculiarities reflect upon being a writer in Brazil, about this
Boxed Writer image that I suggest and about other themes within the Brazilian
literary field of the twenty-first century. / Este ? um trabalho de Escrita Criativa. Portanto, come?a com uma narrativa
ficcional, S? faltou o t?tulo (sim, este ? o t?tulo), sobre o qual n?o oferecerei
informa??es aqui, pois h? leitores que n?o gostam de saber nada antes de ler;
pois isto ? um resumo, n?o uma orelha de livro; pois h? correntes que dizem que
pouco importa o que o autor tem a dizer sobre o livro. Mas ainda assim gostaria
de dizer que vejo esta obra como uma narrativa e tamb?m como uma pesquisa
sobre temas que me s?o caros na produ??o de fic??o e na observa??o das
coisas do mundo. Segue-se a S? faltou o t?tulo, o ensaio O escritor encaixotado
? Ou quem quer ser escritor no Brasil e outras perguntas para personagens que
n?o existem. Este ensaio parte da observa??o de algumas peculiaridades do
personagem Edmundo Dornelles, de S? faltou o t?tulo, para refletir sobre a figura
do escritor no pa?s, sobre a figura que proponho do Escritor Encaixotado e outros
temas do campo liter?rio brasileiro no s?culo vinte e um.
