Previous issue date: 2016-01-27 / This study had as a primary objective to analyze in what way the prevention of drug abuse in school's occurs in the county of Porto Alegre, with the end goal of creating a system of the previous existing knowledge that contributes to the qualification of the approach and the existing programs in this area. The drug phenomena in society is comprehended as multidimensional, involving biological, psychological and social aspects, which suggests the necessity of a reformulation in strategies and responses to attend the demands that surface from this issue, once we understand that reality is in constant motion and transformation. The research is of a qualitative nature, having as a base the critical dialectical method and it utilized the semi-structured interview in the data collection process. The data were submitted to content analysis. The data were gathered in 13 schools of Porto Alegre's county network, in wich 26 professionals were interviewed, one teacher and one pedagogical advisor/director or vice director. The reality in which this schools are situated was portrayed through the metaphor of the ?minefield?, once a series of factors that difficult the execution of projects and programs for drug abuse prevention was exposed, especially in schools that are located in socially vulnerable areas, partially due to the yet little investment in public politics, reflecting, in this way, the structural violence, among other types that are visible in this regions. The strong and constant presence of drug trafficking in the territories has caused a geographical reorientation that is impacting negatively in the access to the social rights of the population. There is an initiative of networking to make the services articulation viable, so that the obstacles encountered can be ?disarmed?, placing a bet in interdisciplinarity and intersectoriality to guide the actions in this scenario. It is demonstrated the necessity to surpass discontinued approaches that only explicit the drug's effects, in search of actions that have as an objective the full protection of children and adolescents, so that they don't find in the drug market their only way of social belonging and integration. / O presente estudo teve por objetivo central analisar de que forma ocorre a preven??o ao abuso de drogas nas escolas do munic?pio de Porto Alegre, a fim de sistematizar conhecimentos que contribuam para a qualifica??o da abordagem e dos programas existentes nessa ?rea. Compreende-se o fen?meno das drogas na sociedade como multidimensional, envolvendo aspectos biol?gicos, psicol?gicos e sociais, sugerindo, assim, a necessidade de reformula??es nas estrat?gias e respostas que visem atender ?s demandas emergidas dessa quest?o, uma vez que a realidade encontra-se em constante movimento e transforma??o. A pesquisa ? de natureza qualitativa, fundamentou-se no m?todo dial?tico-cr?tico e utilizou a entrevista semiestruturada na coleta de dados. Os dados foram submetidos ? an?lise de conte?do. A coleta foi realizada em 13 escolas da rede municipal de Porto Alegre, nas quais foram entrevistados 26 profissionais, um professor em cada local e um orientador pedag?gico/diretor ou vice-diretor. A realidade em que se situam as escolas foi retratada por meio da met?fora do ?campo minado?, uma vez que foi exposta uma s?rie de fatores que dificultam a execu??o de projetos e programas que visem ? preven??o ao abuso de drogas, especialmente em escolas de territ?rios socialmente vulner?veis, tanto em decorr?ncia do ainda pouco investimento nas pol?ticas p?blicas, refletindo, assim, a viol?ncia estrutural, dentre outras viol?ncias visibilizadas nessas regi?es. A presen?a forte e constante do tr?fico de drogas nos territ?rios tem provocado reorienta??es geogr?ficas que vem impactando de forma negativa o acesso aos direitos sociais da popula??o. H? a iniciativa do trabalho em rede para viabilizar a articula??o dos servi?os, a fim de ?desarmar? os entraves encontrados, apostando na interdisciplinaridade e intersetorialidade para nortear as a??es frente a esse cen?rio. Demonstra-se, ainda, a necessidade de superar abordagens descontinuadas que t?o somente explicitem os efeitos das drogas, em busca de a??es que visem ? prote??o integral de crian?as e jovens, a fim de que os mesmos n?o encontrem no mercado do tr?fico a ?nica forma de pertencimento social.
