Previous issue date: 2017-01-12 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior - CAPES / This dissertation aims at presenting a study about the frequency of use of vocal harmonization, a variable rule motivated by a high vowel in a immediately following syllable. Based on studies about Use Phonology, proposed by Bybee (1985, 2002, 2010), is presented here a comparative analyses over the role of the frequency in use of words of a particular bank and frequency in a bank of general data. The results converge when referred to the high frequency, but diverge when referred to low frequency. Is highlighted the role of frequency in terms of information related to the rule establishment in contemporary phonology of Portuguese. / Esta disserta??o ? um estudo sobre a frequ?ncia de uso da Harmoniza??o Voc?lica, uma regra vari?vel motivada por uma vogal alta em s?laba subsequente. Com base nos estudos sobre a Fonologia de Uso propostos por Bybee (1985, 2002, 2010), apresenta-se uma an?lise comparativa acerca da frequ?ncia de uso de palavras de um banco particular e a sua frequ?ncia em um Banco de dados geral (ASPA). Os resultados s?o convergentes quanto ? frequ?ncia alta, mas contradizem-se quanto ? frequ?ncia baixa. Salienta-se o papel da frequ?ncia no que diz respeito ? informa??o relativa ao estatuto da regra na Fonologia Contempor?nea do Portugu?s.
