Previous issue date: 2012-03-06 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / This research aims to investigate textual referentiation elements and strategies concentrating on linguistic forms that show subjectivity as well as a representation of the women identity in written texts, focusing on the violence against women. We based this work in referencial chains, emphasizing strategies of the textual referential and the observation of the linguistic choices made by text producers. In order to analyse the data identified, it was considered the language and referral from the perspective of social cognitive interaction, in which both are understood as a discursive activity that happens throughout the relations between subjects, considering the social universe where they act. We verified that categorized and (re)categorized strategies allow us to see in the analyzed texts the subjectivity and women identity representation in violence situations. The referentiation indicated that elements of subjectivity could be highlighted or deleted depending on the linguistic choices operated by the text producer. These choices are taken according to particular intentions and factors of social and cultural choices. Regarding women representation, we found that it is determined by the difference or opposition to the man. Our results indicated the elements of referentiation portray women and violence forms committed, are done in order to draw social attention to a common and worrying practice, colaboranting to rethink some attitudes, beliefs and collective values. / Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo investigar elementos e estratégias de referenciação textual como formas linguísticas que evidenciam a subjetividade, bem como a representação da identidade feminina no texto escrito, tendo como tema a questão da violência contra a mulher. Para alcançar o objetivo, partiu-se das cadeias referenciais, com ênfase nas estratégias de referenciação textual e na observação das escolhas linguísticas realizadas pelos produtores dos textos. Para análise dos dados identificados, considerou-se a linguagem e a referenciação sob a perspectiva sociocognitivo-interacionista, em que ambas são vistas como uma atividade discursiva que se realiza em função das relações entre os sujeitos, levando-se em conta o universo social em que atuam. Verificou-se, com a investigação, que são as estratégias categorizadoras e (re)categorizadoras que possibilitam a observação da subjetividade e da representação da identidade da mulher em situação de violência nos textos analisados. Os elementos de referenciação apontaram que a subjetividade pode ser ressaltada ou apagada em função das escolhas linguísticas operadas pelo produtor do texto. São intenções particulares e fatores de ordem social e cultural que definem essas escolhas. No que se refere à representação feminina, verificou-se que é determinada a partir da diferença ou oposição em relação ao masculino. Os resultados obtidos apontaram que os elementos de referenciação retratam a mulher e as formas de violência praticadas, atuando no sentido de chamar a atenção da sociedade para uma prática comum e preocupante, o que pode acarretar uma revisão de atitudes, crenças e valores coletivos.
