Este estudo tem como tema os impactos gerados pelos eventos no
município de Gramado – Rio Grande do Sul – Brasil. A relevância desta pesquisa
está fundamentada nos seguintes aspectos: escassez de estudos que analisem a
gestão dos impactos dos eventos realizados na cidade de Gramado; necessidade de
valorizar os eventos como estratégia de desenvolvimento e de atração turística;
alertar sobre a importância do segmento Turismo de Eventos e seus impactos nas
cidades, regiões ou país. Seu foco principal foi identificar nas diferentes vozes
“locais” quais eventos causam maiores transformações e/ou modificações na vida
cotidiana da cidade e que tipos de impactos são gerados por esses eventos. Por
meio de pesquisa exploratório-descritiva, de cortes quantitativo e qualitativo, e por
meio de pesquisas bibliográfica, documental e de campo – com perspectiva
etnográfica, buscou-se o diálogo com os conceitos de turismo, gestão de eventos e
impactos, considerando a importância e o crescimento que os eventos vêm
adquirindo no município. Estes temas, relacionados entre si, embasaram as análises
das respostas às perguntas do questionário e das entrevistas. Por meio das vozes
dos moradores e/ou trabalhadores de Gramado, foi possível demonstrar que os
eventos causadores de maiores impactos na cidade são o Natal Luz e o Festival de
Cinema de Gramado. Quanto aos tipos, foram identificados impactos ligados às

exploratory- descriptive research, qualitative and quantitative and through
bibliographic, documental and field researches - with an ethnographic perspective,
we sought to dialogue with the concepts of tourism, event management and impacts,
considering the importance and growth that events are acquiring in the city. These
themes, related to each other, provided the basis of the analysis of responses to
questions in the questionnaire and interviews. Through the voices of residents and/or
employees of Gramado, it was possible to demonstrate that the events that cause the
major impacts in the city are the Natal Luz and the Festival de Cinema de Gramado.
The types of the impacts that have been identified are related to social, cultural,
physical, environmental, political, economic and tourist spheres.
