Previous issue date: 2015 / Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a bibliografia produzida na área de Saúde Pública sobre a relação entre os aspectos institucionais da organização policial militar, a produção de subjetividade e a saúde mental, buscando identificar se os autores relacionam as características da organização militar ao adoecimento psíquico. Através da metodologia de revisão de literatura foram analisados 15 trabalhos científicos. Constatou-se que a produção sobre este tema torna-se mais evidente a partir dos anos 2000 e que o estudo sobre a produção de subjetividade policial militar ainda é um tema pouco explorado. Verificou-se que elementos da organização policial militar podem impactar negativamente a saúde mental dos policiais como: a elevada carga de trabalho, baixos salários, a rígida disciplina e a hierarquia militar. Destaca-se a centralidade que o tema estresse possui nos estudos sobre a saúde mental dos profissionais. Reconhecendo a relevância do papel que os policiais militares ocupam na sociedade é fundamental a realização de trabalhos científicos que objetivem identificar e analisar o estado de saúde mental desses profissionais. / The objective of this study is to analyze the literature produced in the field of public health with specific reference to the relationship between the institutional aspects of military police organization. It looks at the production of subjectivity and mental health in order to identify whether the authors relate characteristics of military organization to mental illness. Employing review of literature methodology, 15 scientific papers have been analyzed. The research finds that production on this topic has become more evident since the 2000s but study of military police subjectivity production remains a relatively unexplored subject. The study notes that elements of military police organization that can have negative impacts on the mental health of police are those such as high workload, low wages, rigid discipline and military hierarchy. We emphasize the centrality of the aspect of stress in our studies of mental health professionals. Recognizing the important role that the military police occupies in society, it is essential that scientific work aims to address and analyze the status of the mental health of personnel within its ranks.
