O objetivo deste trabalho é compreender o modo pelo qual o cinema vem reconstruindo a história nas suas narrativas, e quais as implicações do uso do filme de reconstituição histórica no trabalho do historiador. A aproximação entre os dois campos – cinema e história – é tratada a partir da noção de efeito de real, que produz representações verossímeis. Tal enfoque permite ao historiador adentrar no imaginário de uma época e, assim, ver que aspectos do passado foram resgatados a fim de falar das necessidades, sonhos, utopias, medos da temporalidade em que o filme foi produzido. Partindo da discussão teórico-metodológica que preside a relação do cinema com a história, tomo como caso de análise a produção cinematográfica dos anos 70, que abordam a Inconfidência Mineira e a figura, já mítica, de Tiradentes. / The purpose of this work is to understand the way the Cinema is reconstructing the History in its narratives. I want to see, also, the implication of the historical movies in the historian’s work. The approximation between these areas – History and Cinema – is treated by the notion of the effect of the real that produces representations, which have verisimilitude with the real. This approximation permits the historian to enter the imaginary of an epoch. Then the researcher will be able to see what kind of aspects were redeemed from the past to talk about dreams, wishes, fears, utopias of the temporality in which the movie was produced. Using this discussion of theory and methodology about History and Cinema, I analyzed the Brazilian movie production of the 70s. I worked with movies that represented the “Inconfidência Mineira” and its mythical figure, Tiradentes.
