Previous issue date: 29 / Nenhuma / A Lagoa do Peixe constitui um dos raros ecossistemas de estuário semi-fechados do país e, anualmente, é conectada com o oceano Atlântico pela abertura artificial do estuário. Nós conduzimos censos mensais de aves nos ecossistemas envolvidos na abertura do estuário do Parque Nacional da Lagoa do Peixe, entre novembro de 2007 e dezembro de 2008. Os ambientes estudados compreenderam um setor de 12 km na beira da praia, 3,5 km na desembocadura do estuário e 4 km na planície de inundação. Registramos um total de 101686 indivíduos, pertencentes a 99 espécies, distribuídas em 30 famílias e onze ordens. As variações temporais mais distintas ocorreram entre as estações quentes e as estações frias, o que pode ser explicado não só pelo caráter migratório das espécies que ocorrem na região, bem como pelo manejo artificial do estuário no final do inverno, causando possíveis variações hídricas na laguna. Dessa forma, avaliamos também o efeito imediato da abertura artificial do estuário coletando informações imediatamente a / The Lagoon of the Fish constitutes one of the rare semi-closed estuary ecosystems of the country and, annually, it is connected with the Atlantic Ocean by the artificial opening of the estuary. We lead monthly censuses of birds in involved ecosystems in the estuary opening of the Lagoon of the Fish National Park, between November of 2007 and December of 2008. The studied environments had understood a sector of 12 km in the side of the beach, 3,5 km in the mouth of the estuary and 4 km in the flooding plain. We registered a total of 101686 individuals, pertaining to 99 species, distributed in 30 families and eleven orders. The more distinct secular variations had occurred between the hot stations and the cold stations, what it can be explained not alone by the migratory character of the species that occur in the region, as well as for the artificial handling of the estuary in the end of the winter, causing possible hydraulic variations in the lagoon.
