Previous issue date: 2014 / The inflammatory process is a reaction of the body's defense against
aggression
triggered by physical, chemical or biological factors. Is present in almost all the
lesions produced in the human body, thus being a useful and necessary process. A
tooth extraction causes an inflammatory process which is often observed in the
postoperative context, the symptom of postoperative pain appears with great
intensity in the initial 12 hours, having its peak between 3 and 5 hours after surgery.
this study aimed to compare the analgesic effect of dipyrone Sodium (500mg) of 6 in
6 hours,
orally for two (2) days and Nimesulide (100 mg) of 12 in 12 hours over three
(3) days orally in the control of postoperative pain in dental surgery extraction of
mandibular molars. The sample consisted of 40 patients who needed to perform
extractions of m
olars, divided into two groups of 20 patients, in which one of the
groups was given Dipyrone Sodium postoperatively and in the other the
Nimesulida.A post evaluation operative occurred immediately after surgery and
during the 24 hours after surgery, at int
ervals of 4, 8, 12 and 24 hours, through the
Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Categorical Scale Assessment (ECA) and the
debilitating Functional Scale (EDF) .The study showed that nimesulide showed
himself superior in controlling postoperative dental pain and
provided better comfort
to patients in relation to the administration of dipyrone. However dipyrone showed in
the evaluation of two scales (VAS and EDF) a more lasting effect when observed
after 24 h of its administration. / O processo inflamatório é uma reação de defesa do organismo contra agressão desencadeada por fatores de natureza física, química ou biológica. Está presente em quase todas as lesões produzidas no organismo humano, sendo, portanto, um processo útil e necessário.Esse estudo teve por objetivo comparar a ação analgésica da Dipirona Sódica (500mg) de 6 em 6 horas, por via oral durante 2 (dois) dias e do Nimesulida (100mg) de 12 em 12 horas durante 3 (três) dias por via oral, no controle da dor pós-operatória em cirurgia de extração dentaria de molares inferiores. A amostra foi composta por 40 pacientes, que necessitavam realizar exodontias de molares inferiores. Dividiiu-se os 40 pacientes em dois grupos de 20 indivíduos e administrou-se Dipirona Sódica no pós-operatório em 20 destes e Nimesulida nos outros.A avaliação pós-operatória ocorreu imediatamente após a cirurgia e ao longo das 24 horas do pós-cirúrgico, nos intervalos de 4, 8, 12 e 24 horas, através da Escala Visual Analógica (EVA), Escala Categórica de Avaliação (ECA) e da Escala Desabilitante Funcional (EDF).O estudo demonstrou que a nimesulida apresentou-se superior no controle da dor pós-operatória dentária e propiciou melhor conforto aos pacientes em relação à administração de dipirona sódica. Contudo a dipirona mostrou na avaliação de duas escalas (EVA e EDF) um efeito mais duradouro quando observada após 24h da sua administração.
