Previous issue date: 2017 / The present study aimed to analyze the qualification and / or training by the competency model in the Pronatec technical courses offered by the IFCE, Campus Fortaleza. In order to achieve this, this research used as methodological approach, the bibliographic survey and documentary analysis. It is considered, therefore, part of the bibliographical research the legal documents as the legislations, the documents of the MEC and of the IFCE. In addition we use documents and institutional legislation related to Pronatec. We use the following theoretical categories: Work (MARX, 2010, 2014); In this paper, we present the results of a study of the professional qualification (FERRETTI, 2004; SCHWARTZ, 1995; KUENZER, 2002; PAIVA, 1999; RAMOS, 2002); Professional Education (LIBÂNEO, 2001; SAVIANI, 2007; KUENZER 1991, 1999, 2001); and Human Formation (FRIGOTTO, 1989; CUNHA, 2005; CIAVATTA AND RAMOS, 2011; KUENZER, 2001, 2002; RAMOS, 2011). We conclude that a perspective of technical and experimental training predominates in detriment of a human and integral formation in the technical courses in Occupational Safety, Guide of Tourism and Mechanics. The technical training stands out and stands out, still preponderating training aimed at attending the interests of the labor market, based on the flexibility and versatility of the workers. We defend a vocational training model, offered by educational institutions beyond the technical and operational aspect, but which also provides conditions for the development of the critical and autonomous sense of the students and future workers. / O presente estudo visou analisar a qualificação e/ou a formação pelo modelo de competência nos cursos técnicos do Pronatec, ofertados pelo IFCE, campus Fortaleza. Para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa utilizou como procedimentos metodológicos o levantamento bibliográfico e análise documental. Considera-se, pois, parte da pesquisa bibliográfica os documentos legais, como as legislações, os documentos do MEC e do IFCE. Ademais, foram utilizados documentos e legislações institucionais referentes ao Pronatec. As categorias teóricas utilizadas no trabalho foram: Trabalho (MARX, 2010, 2014); Qualificação Profissional (FERRETTI, 2004; SCHWARTZ, 1995; KUENZER, 2002; PAIVA, 1999; RAMOS, 2002); Educação Profissional (LIBÂNEO, 2001; SAVIANI, 2007; KUENZER 1991, 1999, 2001); e Formação Humana (FRIGOTTO, 1989; CUNHA, 2005; CIAVATTA E RAMOS, 2011; KUENZER, 2001, 2002; RAMOS, 2011). Conclui-se que predomina a perspectiva de formação técnica e experimental em detrimento de uma formação humana e integral nos cursos técnicos em Segurança do Trabalho, Guia de Turismo e Mecânica. A formação técnica sobressai e se destaca, preponderando a formação voltada a atender aos interesses do mercado de trabalho, pautados na flexibilidade e polivalência dos trabalhadores. Assim, um modelo de formação profissional ofertado pelas instituições educacionais, para além do aspecto técnico e operacional, é defendido, porém tem de agregar, também, condições para o desenvolvimento do senso crítico e autônomo dos discentes e futuros trabalhadores.
