nÃo hà / Este trabalho teve como propÃsito avaliar as repercussÃes educacionais e sociais decorrentes da expansÃo e da interiorizaÃÃo da Universidade Federal do Cearà (UFC). Para levar a termo este estudo, que enfocou a interiorizaÃÃo da educaÃÃo superior como um dos aspectos da democratizaÃÃo universitÃria, alguns recortes histÃricos se fizeram necessÃrios. Aspectos do ensino superior no Estado do Cearà tambÃm mereceram abordagem, dada a necessidade de compreender sua evoluÃÃo ao longo do tempo. Inclui-se nesse panorama a trajetÃria da UFC em direÃÃo aos municÃpios do interior cearense. No que concerne aos procedimentos metodolÃgicos que nortearam a investigaÃÃo, esta pesquisa, bibliogrÃfica e documental a um sà tempo, classificou-se como de natureza exploratÃria e descritiva. A tÃcnica de pesquisa anÃlise do conteÃdo foi utilizada na categorizaÃÃo das unidades textuais contidas na superfÃcie linguÃstica das respostas dos pesquisados, as quais receberam uma abordagem qualitativa. A avaliaÃÃo das repercussÃes educacionais e sociais motivadas pela expansÃo e interiorizaÃÃo da UFC incluiu dados secundÃrios, oriundos da amostra de docentes, discentes e residentes dos municÃpios interioranos onde os campi foram instalados. A anÃlise realizada permitiu o delineamento do processo de interiorizaÃÃo da UFC, bem como a sua reiteraÃÃo como premente e imprescindÃvel ao desenvolvimento regional, o que abrangeu desde os benefÃcios por ele trazidos atà os eventuais entraves a ser superados. / This study aimed to assess the educational and social impacts resulting from the expansion and growth of the Federal University of Cearà (UFC) towards the countryside.
To bring completion to this study, which focused on the expansion of higher education as an aspect of the university democratization, some historical clippings were necessary. Aspects of higher education in the state of Cearà also deserved approach, given the need to understand their evolution over the time.
Itâs included in this overview the trajectory of UFC towards the districts of CearÃ.
Regarding the methodological procedures which guided the investigation, this research, literature and documents at one time, it was classified as exploratory and descriptive.
The research technique of the analysis content was used to categorize the textual units contained in the linguistic surface from the answers of researched people, which received qualitative approach. The evaluation of educational and social repercussion motivated by the expansion of the UFC included secondary data provided by the Department of Institutional Development from the referred institution.
These data express the result of inquiries asked to students, professors and residents of the local communities where the UFC advanced campuses were installed.
The analysis enabled the delineation of the UFC process of expansion towards the countryside, as well its reiteration as urgent and essential to the regional development, which covered the benefits that it was brought up and any other barriers that needs to be overcome.
