FundaÃÃo Cearense de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Cientifico e TecnolÃgico / A pesquisa foi decorrente de um problema vivido durante a graduaÃÃo: a falta de documentos que contasse, mesmo que um pouco, sobre a histÃria da Faculdade de EducaÃÃo. ApÃs uma breve pesquisa na biblioteca do Centro de Humanidades da UFC e ouvindo os professores mais antigos da Faculdade de EducaÃÃo â FACED -, percebi que sà existe uma dissertaÃÃo da dÃcada de 1990 sobre a histÃria da Faculdade de EducaÃÃo da UFC. O foco dessa pesquisa à compreender como se deu a formaÃÃo em Pedagogia na Universidade Federal do CearÃ. Por meio de tal estudo foi possÃvel resgatar a histÃria do curso de Pedagogia, em nÃvel de Brasil e da Faculdade de EducaÃÃo da UFC, estudar sobre o projeto de monitoria aplicado no curso de pedagogia da UFC e refletir a importÃncia do programa de monitoria na vocaÃÃo pela docÃncia. Compreender como a monitoria foi importante para o corpo discente em optar pela docÃncia no ensino superior se torna de extrema importÃncia, por que a orientaÃÃo pedagÃgica da Ãpoca era a formaÃÃo para ser especialista no sistema escolar. A presente pesquisa foi feita de forma qualitativa, descritiva e historiogrÃfica. A primeira etapa metodolÃgica da pesquisa constarà da anÃlise documental e bibliogrÃfica. Na segunda etapa da pesquisa foi utilizadas entrevistas semi-estruturadas. A monitoria, no percurso do texto, se mostrou, naquela Ãpoca, como fundamental para alicerÃar as alunas pela opÃÃo no magistÃrio. Foi à monitoria que abriu as portas para uma vivÃncia atà entÃo deixada de lado. Quando a lei foi criada, tinha sim esse objetivo de uma formaÃÃo voltada para o ensino superior. Mas, nem tudo que à criado nesse paÃs à aplicado na prÃtica. E foi justamente essa lei que fez com que as alunas, e muitos outros alunos que foram monitores, se firmassem na carreira docente no ensino superior. / The research was the result of a problem experienced during graduation : the lack of documents to tell , even a little about the history of the Faculty of Education . After a brief search in the Humanities Center of the UFC and hearing the older teachers of the Faculty of Education Library - FACED - I realized that there is only a dissertation of 1990 on the history of the Faculty of Education at the UFC . The focus of this research is to understand how was the training in pedagogy at the Federal University of Cearà . Through this study it was possible to rescue the history of pedagogy students at the level of Brazil and the Faculty of Education of the UFC , study on the design of monitoring applied in pedagogy courses of UFC and reflect the importance of monitoring program on vocation for teaching . Understanding how the monitoring was important for the student body opt for teaching in higher education becomes extremely important for the tutoring of the time was training to be a specialist in the school system . This research was done in a qualitative , descriptive and historiographical form . The first methodological step of the research will include analysis of documents and literature . In the second stage of the research semi- structured interviews were used . Monitoring , in the course of the text , it turned out, at that time , as fundamental to underpin the students in the teaching option . The monitoring was that opened the door to an experience hitherto overlooked. When the law was created , but had this goal oriented training for higher education . But not everything that is created in this country is applied in practice. And it was precisely this law that made the students and many other students who were monitors if firmassem the teaching career in higher education.
