Previous issue date: 2008 / Aiming to question the popular retail communication: “What and why doesn’t changes?”, we go through the concept of what is consumption, consumption society, retail and retail communication building the possible net of communication of how and by which reason this communication has the resonance and adhesion of the popular segments. The research is part of the methodology based on the ideas of Jean Baudrillard and the technics of the discoursive analysis of Patrick Charaudeau mediated by the hermeneutics and the analysis of participant observation. It is recommended the reading of the attacheds to verify the richness of the information obtained on the display tabulation, as well as photographic documentation on the retail advertisement. / Visando questionar a comunicação de varejo popular: “O que e por que não muda?”, percorre-se a conceituação do que é o consumo, sociedade de consumo, varejo, comunicação de varejo, construindo a possível teia da comunicação de como e por que razão essa comunicação tem a ressonância e adesão das classes populares. A pesquisa consta da metodologia das idéias de Jean Baudrillard e a técnica de pesquisa a análise discursiva de Patrick Charaudeau, mediados pela hermenêutica e análise da Observação Participante. Recomenda-se a leitura dos anexos para verificar a riqueza das informações obtidas pela tabulação da amostra, bem como registros fotográficos dos anúncios de varejo.
