Previous issue date: 2011 / This dissertation has the objective of making a reflection about the circulation of brazilian feature films in home movie theatres in the period between the years 2000 and 2009. The look of interest in this study is to identify and interpret relevant characteristics of movies activity in Brazil in that period of time, looking over the factors that have interfered on the commercial success of some national movies released at that time – titles that have recorded more than a million spectators in the movie theaters market, according to the National Cinema Agency – ANCINE. For that, in this research, some themes have been broached, such as changes in the institucional organs dealing whith support and development of brazilian cinema, the performance of Globo Filmes in the movies market, and the growing of majors distributers in association to local productions. In order to become these themes more perceptible, the study analyses the performance of four films: 2 Filhos de Francisco (Two Sons of Francisco, Breno Silveira, 2005), Se eu fosse você (If I Were You, Daniel Filho, 2009), Se eu fosse você 2 (If I Were You 2, Daniel Filho, 2009) e Tropa de Elite (Elite Squad, José Padilha, 2007). / Esta Dissertação tem como objetivo refletir sobre a circulação dos filmes brasileiros de longametragem no mercado interno de salas no período correspondente aos anos 2000 a 2009. O interesse do estudo é identificar e interpretar características relevantes da atividade cinematográfica no Brasil no período proposto, observando os fatores que interferiram no sucesso comercial de alguns filmes nacionais lançados nessa época – títulos que registraram mais de 1 milhão de espectadores no mercado de salas, segundo dados da Agência Nacional de Cinema, a Ancine. Para tanto, são abordados no decorrer da pesquisa as transformações nos aparatos institucionais voltados ao apoio e fomento ao cinema brasileiro, a atuação da Globo Filmes no mercado cinematográfico e o crescimento na associação das distribuidoras majors a produções locais. Com o intuito de tornar tais temas mais perceptíveis, a pesquisa analisa a trajetória de quatro filmes: 2 Filhos de Francisco (Breno Silveira, 2005), Se eu fosse você (Daniel Filho, 2009), Se eu fosse você 2 (Daniel Filho, 2009) e Tropa de Elite (José Padilha, 2007).
