Previous issue date: 2008 / The present dissertation has as purpose to present the study developed on the missional space of Santa Rosa de Mojo, marked by tense relationships of border between Portuguese from the Captaincy of Mato Grosso and the Jesuits from the Spanish missions of Mojo in the beginning of the XVIII century. In this sense, we will sketch one of the possible ways for a reflection of how the organization of this missional space had happened and the movements that determined its efemerity (1743 to 1769), evidencing, above all, that this process was not just the settlers' action, but, the action of several indigenous groups which collaborate by equal way in the production of this space. Seeking, this way, to notice it as something rather than static, but plasticity than border, since the alone society becomes concrete through its space produced and that is only intelligible because of it, by accumulations and substitutions of actions of the different generations that super put. / A presente dissertação tem por finalidade apresentar o estudo desenvolvido sobre o espaço missional de Santa Rosa de Mojo, marcado por relações tensas de fronteira entre portugueses da Capitania de Mato Grosso e os jesuítas das missões espanholas de Mojo no início do século XVIII. Neste sentido, vamos esboçar um dos possíveis caminhos para uma reflexão de como se deu a organização deste espaço missional e os movimentos que determinaram sua efemeridade (1743 a 1769), evidenciando, sobretudo, que este processo não foi apenas ação dos colonizadores, mas sim, da ação de vários grupos indígenas que colaboram de igual maneira na produção deste espaço. Procurando, desta maneira, percebê-lo como algo mais movimentado do que estático, mas plasticidade do que fronteira, já que a sociedade só se torna concreta através de seu espaço, do que ela produz e que só é inteligível por meio dela, mediante acumulações e substituições das ações das diferentes gerações que se superpõem.
