Previous issue date: 2011 / This thesis is composed of two articles, one theoretical and one empirical, having as its central theme the Goddess religion and paganism, as well as issues concerning feminist spirituality and gender issues. The first article, theoretical, discusses the historical development of feminism, bringing reports of archaeological findings that refer to a Mother Goddess, and also bringing questions about Matriarchy and Patriarchy, and Matrifocality. Moreover, in this article are also treated topics such as"Religion of the Goddess" and thealogy. Reflections were made about the importance of knowing this “new” way of perceiving the feminine in religion/spirituality, which is increasingly pervasive in society today. The second article, empirical, sought to better understand the reasons that lead people to"seek" this religion/spirituality, and also know about the importance of religion in their lives and how they perceive themselves as pagans in contemporary society, as well as show what occurs during the group meetings. / A presente dissertação é composta por dois artigos, um teórico e um empírico, tendo como tema central a religião da Deusa e o Paganismo, bem como questões referentes a espiritualidade feminista e questões de gênero. O primeiro artigo, teórico, problematiza a construção histórica do feminismo, trazendo relatos de achados arqueológicos que remetem a uma Deusa-Mãe, e também questões sobre Matriarcado e Patriarcado, e Matrifocalidade. Além disso, nesse artigo também são tratados temas como “Religião da Deusa” e tealogia. Foram realizadas reflexões acerca da importância do conhecimento dessa “nova” forma de perceber o feminino na religião/espiritualidade, que é cada vez mais difundida na sociedade atual. O segundo artigo, empírico, buscou conhecer melhor os motivos que levam as pessoas a “buscarem” esta religião/espiritualidade, além de conhecer a importância dessa religião em sua vida e como se percebem como sujeitos pagãos na sociedade contemporânea, bem como mostrar o que ocorre durante os encontros do grupo.
