Titre de l'écran-titre (visionné le 7 août 2023) / Je vous présente ici un texte exprimant les réflexions menant à l'expression plastique et conceptuelle caractérisant mon processus de création. Il s'agit là de réflexions autoethnographiques nourries par la culture académique exprimant un point de vue sur la liberté de l'être humain concernant l'imaginaire. La liberté est un sujet vaste pouvant inclure de nombreuses thématiques. C'est dans cet esprit que je réduis mon champ de recherche à la thématique de l'imaginaire. Au long de ce texte, je montre comment ma production plastique exprime des points de vue sur l'aspect mécanique de l'imaginaire humain, populairement associé à une forme de liberté. Ceux-ci sont allégorisés par une création dont le centre de gravité est le concept de forme exprimé plastiquement et conceptuellement par la paréidolie. Je montrerai de quelle manière la paréidolie est un ouvroir à la création de formes hybrides aux apparences chimériques et surréalistes et de quelles façons je la perçois comme un pont liant l'être humain à sa source : la nature. J'exprime ici comment le processus de création, la paréidolie et la forme montrent la vanité des entités naturelles en constantes métamorphoses passant par l'hybridité et exprimant la liberté de propositions de formes différentes. Ce mémoire démontre une réflexion concernant la perception et son ambiguïté abordant l'antagonisme des notions de « réalité » et de « vérité » de la forme. En prolongement, ces pensées expriment mes doutes quant à l'existence de l'abstraction dans le champ de la perception de l'environnement par l'être humain en relation avec les autres. Contextuellement au train de vie social commun et de manière conditionnelle, la mécanique de perception aurait-elle conceptuellement détruit l'abstraction ? Ce mémoire propose l'explication d'une pratique dont l'engagement est subversif et non moralisateur découlant de points de vue personnels concernant l'expression de l'engagement dans le milieu de l'art. / I'm presenting here a text expressing the reflections leading to the plastic and conceptual expression characterizing my creative process. These are autoethnographic reflections nourished by the academic culture expressing a point of view on the freedom of the human being concerning the imaginary. Freedom is a vast subject that can include many themes. It is in this spirit that I reduce my field of research to the theme of the imaginary. Throughout this text, I will show how my plastic production expresses points of view on the mechanical aspect of the human imagination, popularly associated with a form of freedom. These are allegorized by a creation whose center of gravity is the concept of form expressed plastically and conceptually by pareidolia. I will show how pareidolia is a workshop for the creation of hybrid forms with chimerical and surrealist appearances and in what ways I perceive it as a bridge linking the human being to its source: nature. I'm expressing here how the process of creation, pareidolia and form, show the vanity of natural entities in constant metamorphosis through hybridity and expressing the freedom of proposals of different forms. This dissertation demonstrates a reflection on perception and its ambiguity addressing the antagonism of the notions of "reality" and "truth" of form. As an extension, these thoughts express my doubts about the existence of abstraction in the field of perception of the environment by the human being in relation to others. Contextually to the common social lifestyle as well as conditionally, would the mechanics of perception have conceptually destroyed abstraction? This dissertation offers an explanation of a practice whose engagement is subversive and non-judgmental, stemming from personal views regarding the expression of engagement in the art world.
