Faisant écho à l’exposition Chronosculpture, ce mémoire retrace mes réflexions des deux dernières années sur les principaux concepts qui habitent ma pratique sculpturale, soit les notions de réénergisation, de dynamisme potentiel et de temporalité qui émergent de la suspension d’objets. En abordant dans un premier temps les singularités qui découlent de cette technique de suspension, j’articule ce parcours réflexif autour du concept de chronosculpture, un type de sculpture qui génère une durée et un déroulement potentiel par la mise en relation d’objets-séquence dans l’espace. Ma vision temporalisée de la sculpture prend entre autres forme en tissant des liens avec la reconstitution du mouvement par la chronophotographie, le concept de durée indivisible selon Henri Bergson et certaines notions développées par Gilles Deleuze en lien avec le cinéma. / Supporting the exhibition Chronosculpture, this thesis retraces my reflections over the past two years on the main concepts that inhabit my sculptural practice, namely the notions of re-energization, potential dynamism and temporality that emerge from the suspension of objects. By first addressing the singularities that result from this technique, I articulate this reflexive journey around the concept of chronosculpture, a type of sculpture that generates a temporal unfolding and a duration by the relation of sequence objects in the space. Among other things, my temporalized vision of sculpture is articulated by referring my practice to the reconstruction of movement through chronophotography, the concept of indivisible duration according to Henri Bergson and certain concepts developed by Gilles Deleuze in connection with cinema.
