Ce mémoire est traversé par le mouvement, par les saisons et par les eaux qui mènent à la lumière. Il est également traversé par l'estampe, par l'installation et par la vidéo. C'est un récit de vie qui relate un véritable parcours, tant géographique qu'humain, à travers lequel j'ai entrepris une quête pour m'affranchir des contraintes passées. Aspirant à un second souffle, je me suis lancée dans des projets de création à l'étranger où l'Ailleurs est devenu un véritable potentiel de création. Cet Ailleurs m'a permis de prendre conscience de ma propre expérience du monde et, à travers elle, j'ai compris l'importance du contexte dans ma pratique artistique. Sachant que tout contexte est éphémère, je deviens sensible aux changements infimes du temps qui passe et me laisse imprégner par eux. Mes œuvres incarnent ce qu'il reste de mon expérience sensible du monde : ce qu'il reste des vagues. Elles en sont le catalyseur, et elles deviennent son vestige pour voyager jusqu'à vous. / My thesis has been shaped by movements, changing seasons, and the spaces where waters and light meet, just as it is steeped in my printmaking, installation, and video art practices. It tells the story of a life and of the geographic and personal journeys to free myself from the artistic constraints that formerly bound me. In search of a creative "second wind", I completed residencies far from home. My immersion in these Elsewheres spurred my creative process, threw into relief my experience of the world and highlighted the importance of context to my art practice. Because all context is ephemeral, I have become increasingly sensitive to the slightest changes wrought by the passage of time, deliberately seeking them out and finding ways to make time pass through me. My work gives form to what remains of this sensory experience of the world, much as a receding wave leaves physical traces and flotsam and jetsam behind : these are at once the catalyst and the vestiges of my art as it makes its journey to the viewer - its journey to you.
