El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar la relación entre las Metas de Logro y la
Motivación Autónoma y Controlada con las Estrategias de Aprendizaje y el Rendimiento
académico en estudiantes universitarios. La muestra estuvo conformada por 126 estudiantes
universitarios de una universidad privada. Se encontró que las Metas de Aproximación al Dominio
y al rendimiento se relacionan y predicen varias Estrategias de Aprendizaje; sin embargo, no
predicen el rendimiento académico. La Motivación Autónoma era una variable importante que
correlacionaba con varias estrategias; pero, sobre todo, era la única variable que predecía el
rendimiento académico. Se discute estos resultados a partir de la teoría de las Metas de Logro y la
Teoría de la Autodeterminación. Asimismo, se propone que, en futuros estudios, se incluya las
Metas de Logro y Estrategias de Aprendizaje como variables mediadoras entre la Motivación
Autónoma y el rendimiento Académico. / The objective of this study was to identify the relationship between Achievement Goals,
Autonomous Motivation and Controlled Motivation with the Learning Strategies and the
Academic Achievement in university students. The sample consisted of 126 university students
from a private university. It was found that the Domain Approach and Performance Goals related
to and predicted several Learning Strategies; however, they did not predict academic performance.
The Autonomous Motivation was an important variable that correlated with several strategies; but,
above all, it was the only variable that predicted academic performance. These results are discussed
from the perspective of the theory of Achievement Goals and the Theory of Self-Determination.
Likewise, it is proposed that, in future studies, the Achievement Goals and Learning Strategies be
included as mediating variables between the Autonomous Motivation and the Academic
performance.
