La presente investigación plantea a la salud mental como una problemática social que
debe ser atendida por los medios de comunicación, debido a que la pandemia de la
Covid-19 y la crisis política y económica del país han afectado a millones de peruanos.
Dentro de ese contexto, la investigación presenta el concepto de periodismo de salud;
la importancia de la salud mental en la población joven, quienes fueron uno de los
más afectados durante este tiempo; y la trascendencia de la producción de contenidos
más amables en los medios de comunicación. En ese sentido, el estudio presenta al
proyecto periodístico “Medio Cuerdas” como una alternativa para acercar los temas
de salud mental al público joven en un país en donde no existen medios
especializados al respecto. / This research raises that mental health has become a social problem that should be
addressed by the media, since the Covid-19 pandemic and the political and economic
crisis of the country have affected millions of peruvians. Within this context, the
research presents the concept of health journalism; the importance of mental health
in the young population, which was one of the most affected during this time; and the
importance of producing more friendly content in the media. In this sense, the study
proposes the relevance of the creation of a specialized journalistic media and presents
the journalistic project "Medio Cuerdas" as an alternative to bring mental health topics
closer to young audiences, in a country where there are not specialized media on the
subject.
