La presente investigación tiene como objetivo estudiar la relación entre el bienestar psicológico y esperanza en internas de un penal de Lima. Además, se investigó los puntajes en estos dos constructos de acuerdo a algunas variables sociodemográficas y carcelarias. Para esto, se administró la Escala de Bienestar psicológico de Ryff, adaptada por Cubas (2003), con las modificaciones realizadas por Guimet (2011), y la prueba de Esperanza adaptada por Martínez, Cassaretto & Herth (2012) a un grupo de 59 internas. Los resultados mostraron que existe una relación significativa tanto entre las escalas globales de ambos constructos como entre algunas de sus respectivas dimensiones. Asimismo, se pudo observar que, tanto los niveles de bienestar psicológico como de esperanza, mostraron diferencias significativas según algunas variables, como el grado de instrucción, ubicación de la pareja, número de ingresos y tipo de visitas, en el caso del primer constructo; y de ubicación de la pareja y tipo de pabellón para el segundo constructo. / This research aims to study the relationship between well-being and hope in inmates from a prison in Lima. It also investigated the scores on these two constructs based on socio-demographic and penitentiary variables. In order to this, tests as the Psychological Well-being Scale Ryff adapted by Cubas (2003), in its new version by Guimet (2011), and the test Hope in Martinez, Cassaretto & Herth version (2012), were used in a group of 59 inmates. The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the global scales in both tests and between some of their respective dimensions. In addition, both levels of psychological well-being and hope, show significant differences according to different variables such as educational attainment, location of the couple, income and number and kind of visits, in relation to the first construct; and location of the couple and type of flag in relation to the second construct.
