El presente documento desarrolla el planeamiento estratégico de la empresa Transtotal
Logística Selva hasta el año 2021. La empresa actualmente tiene operando un embarcadero
fluvial en la ciudad de Pucallpa. El plan estratégico es el resultado de un análisis detallado de
los factores externos e internos que afectan a la empresa, a partir de los cuales se
determinaron las fortalezas y debilidades de la empresa, y las oportunidades y amenazas de la
industria. Luego, mediante la elaboración de diversas matrices, se definieron las estrategias
que llevarán a la empresa a cumplir con sus objetivos a largo plazo y correspondientes
objetivos a corto plazo, para finalmente alcanzar la visión propuesta.
La industria de transporte fluvial en la región amazónica ha tenido un crecimiento
importante que va en conjunto con el crecimiento sostenido del Perú en los últimos años.
Las estrategias planteadas en este trabajo se centran en el crecimiento de la empresa
hacia otras ciudades de la región amazónica, como Yurimaguas e Iquitos, y en el
aprovechamiento de la oportunidad que representa el corredor transoceánico propuesto por la
Iniciativa para la Integración de la Infraestructura Regional Sudamericana (IIRSA) que unirá
el puerto de Paita con el océano Atlántico, a través del río Amazonas, y de esta manera
alcanzar la visión de ser un referente regional en servicios logísticos en Sudamérica. / This document develops the Strategic Plan for Transtotal Logística Selva up to the
year 2021. The company is operating on the city of Pucallpa’s river dock. The strategic plan
is the result of a detailed analysis of the external and internal factors affecting the company,
from which the strengths and weakness of the company were defined, as well as the
opportunities and threats of the industry.
By the developing of several matrixes, the strategies that will led the company to
accomplish its long term objectives were developed, together with the short term objectives,
with the purpose of finally achieving the proposed vision.
The river transportation industry in the amazonic region has had a significant growth
that goes along with the sustained growth of Peru in the past few years.
The strategies proposed in this document are based on the growing company’s
operations in other cities of the amazonic region, like Yurimaguas and Iquitos, and on
capitalizing the opportunity that represents the transoceanic corridor proposed by de Initiative
for the Integration of the Southamerican Regional Infrastructure (IIRSA); this corridor will
link the port of Paita with the Atlantic Ocean by the Amazon river, and in this way strive to
the vision of being a regional logistical service benchmark in South America.
