speciation and determination of manganese in seawater / 海水中錳元素之分析與物種鑑定

碩士 / 國立師範大學 / 化學學系 / 81 / The salt content in seawater is very high and the matrix is
complicated. How to effectively analyze the concentrations of
elements in seawater remains to be great challenges for many
tical chemists. The total manganese content in seawater is
mined with the aid of Chelax-100 preconcentration technique in
study. With the applications of pertinent pretreatments,
species in seawater can be differentiated and determined. The
detection limit for manganese determination in seawater with
the Chelax-100 preconcentration followed by graphite AA
0.0072 ppb with average recovery to be 100.2 ?2.0 % . The of
the method is tested and confirmed with CASS-2 standard rence
material. In this study, mangaese species in seawater are
categorized as: (1) total reactive manganese (TRM), (2) total
dissolvable (TDM), and (3) acid-soluble manganese (ASM). All
these species be accurately separated and determined by the
developed Seawater samples collected from the ocean, 18
kilometers away from the northern tip of Taiwan and the
shoreline were analyzed speciated. The results indicated 67 %
of TRM and 33 % of ASM in samples. Techniques involved in
this work include graphite methods, microwave digestion ,
size exclusion chromatography, decomposition , clean room
techniques and severaln strategies.
