gross income,the market is tend to be varieity , the industries
face the challenge of environment change.Flexible Manufacturing
System (FMS) is an important milestone among the progress of
manufacturing technologies. It combines the advance computer
numerical control(CNC) or direct numerical control(DNC)machines
,automatic tooling machines, material handling system, computer
network and management information system (MIS) , which reduces
the work-in-process (WIP),balances the production line, reduces
the setup time, and results the FMS in the ability to meet
environment change as well as achieve high utilization.
Alternative process planning is one of the characteristics
that makes FMS a high performance system , and more productive
than other conventional production system.Scheduling the
process planning and operation scheduling separately will
simplify the problem , but the benefits will be achieved by
considering them in one stage. Most researchers who consider
scheduling problem and process planning sequentially by a
hierarchical way , this paper proposes a 0-1 integer
programming model that takes the transportation time into
consideration, decides job routing and operation schedule
simultaneously. An optimal solution for the mathematical model
could be found, and objective function could be modified by
other criteria easily. Afterward,this paper discusses the
factors that affects the model performance,and proposes some
improvement methods.Besides , a discussion of release of
assumptions and constraints is addressed,such as jobs arrive
time,machines setup time,different number of operations for
jobs,not identical machines. The model is easily modified to
meet these changes.
