For the sake of satisfying the customer’s needs and wants. The producer must emphasize the importance of the “time quality”, that if the “reliability”. The reliability of a product, as well as the quality, should be “designed-in”. The responsibility of a designer is to apply design technology and analysis methods to dig out the weakness of the design and to take adequate decisions to improve the product.
The objective of this paper is to develop a model of the rail-transit systems for using the “performance function” to execute reliability prediction and allocation based on the delay probability. Finally, making suggestions to help the transit authority to maintain high system reliability in its future service.
