The Design of Self-Tuning 2-D Controller for Course-Keeping of a Ship / 船舶航向保持之自調2-D控制器設計

碩士 / 國立海洋大學 / 航海技術學系 / 82 / This thesis presents a self-tuning 2-D controller that can be
applied to a ship in order to achieve course-keeping. The Least
Square method is applied to estimate on line the variabe
parameters in the transfer function of a controlled plant. We
select the system performance index that can minimize the
propulsion loss under the process of course-keeping. Optimal
values of closed-loop poles of an auto-pilot system are to be
defined subject to the worst case disturbance condition that we
are considering. In general, the disturbace may be due to wind,
current, wave, etc., therefore, the auto-pilot system can
hopefully used to keep the course of ship. Under considering of
the worst case disturbance that may come in and the result of
on- line estimation for the plant transfer function, a self-
tuning 2-D controller is designed to constrain the closed-loop
poles at the places which were obtained from the result with
optimizing the performance index.
