碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 森林學系 / 83 / The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of
nitrogen sources on growth and physiological responses of
Scaevola sericea and Messerschmidia argentea seedlings.
Seedlings were subjected to 6 different levels of NH4+/NO3-
ratios, i.e. 0/100、25/75、50/50、75/25、100/0 and control,
respectively and growing for 5 months. The changes of
morphological parameters(i.e. plant height and diameter at
root collar, total leaves area ,plant dry matter) and
physiological parameters(i.e. chlorophyll content,mineral
nutrient content) and pH value of medium in response to
fertilization were measured. The results obtained from the
experiment exhibited that seedlings of Scaevola sericea treated
with more NH4+ fertilizer (i.e.50/50、75/25 and 100/100ratio)
had higher seedling diameter and plant dry matter.Seedling of
Messerchmidia argentea treated with more NO3- fertilizer(i.e.
0/100、25/75 and 50/50 ratio)had higher seedling height,
seedling diameter and plant dry matter. Seedling of Scaevola
sericea treated with only NH4+ (100/0) fertilizer had higher
chlorophyll content. For both species ,fertilization with mixed
nitrate and ammonium the N content of leaves was increased,on
the other hand , K content was decreased. The pH values of
medium, in original pH value(8.2), was falls after fertilized.
