described.Male's courtship behavior seqence is sterotypic
following a typical series: Skimming,Signal Jump,Pairing,
Circling,Skimming. And the cue used for female to select her's
mate are body size、nest location and skimming freqency of the
male. There are positive correlation between body size and
Pairing,Circling.There are negative correlation between nest
location and Pairing,Circling.There are positive correlations
between Skimming,Circling. There are significantly linear
regressions between area of egg mass and Pairing or Circling.
And male courtship behavior was related to lunar phase.In March-
May,courtship only occured in 4-5 days per month.The first 2
days which had a 4-5 day interval matched with new moon. The
latter two days which also had a 4-5 days interval matched with
full moon.They were, howerer,not correlated with time of high
tide and tidal rage.
