碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 土木工程學研究所 / 83 / This research is to study a complex wave field which
combines reflection , refraction and diffraction around a
breakwater. It takes the backward scattering into accounts.
Following a model equation of a slowly-varying factor by
Zen (1993),which is an extension of the mild-slope equation
(Berkhoff,1972),a numerical model is developed by employing
Galerkin finite element method. Present numerical results
are verified for wave diffraction by a semi-infinite breakwater
on a constant water depth , as well as combined wave refraction-diffraction. This model should be improved to calculate in
several different zones in the future for eliminating the size
limitation of elements by wavelength due to wave reflection.
