A Study of Underwater Vehicles using Magnetic Adsorption / 水下磁吸附式移動載具之研究

碩士 / 國立中山大學 / 機械工程研究所 / 84 / The purpose of this study is to develop underwater
vehicles for inspecting and maintaining the underwater Ferro
structure (such as hulls of ships, big underwater tanks,
etc.). The strong attractive force to Ferro structure
of magnetic is the key-point used to construct two kind of
underwater vehicles. One is constructed by combining
electromagnets and springs to compose a new locomotive
device. The other is constructed by combining permanent
magnets and tracked vehicle. Mathematical models are
established to analysis the kinematics of those two types of
underwater vehicles. Two prototype, one each, are designed,
built, tested and improved. From the experimental results,
it shows that the proposed underwater vehicles are
able to move on the Ferro structure and clean the barnacles and
algae on it.
