The Deliquesence of Inorganic Salt Aerosols from Sea Spray / 海水飛沫衍生氣膠潮解之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣大學 / 環境工程研究所 / 84 / Because Taiwan is a subtropical island, it is important to
understand the effect of sea spray on the atmospheric aerosols
in Taiwan. In this study, a TDMA system (Tandem Differential
Mobility Analyzer) with a relative humidity conditioner was
used to investigate the effect of relative humidity on the
growth ratio and deliquescence point of inorganic aerosols,
including single-salt aerosols of sodium nitrate, sodium
sulfate anhydrous, and internally mixed-salt aerosols of sodium
chloride/potassium chloride and ammonium sulfate/sodium sulfate
anhydrous. The diameter growth ratio of sodium nitrate aerosols
was very small and didn''t increase abrubtly. The deliquescence
points of sodium sulfate anhydrous aerosols did not increase
with temperature. When the temperature increased from 14.2℃ to
24.9℃, the deliquescence point increased from 80.7% to 82.1%.
The deliquescence point of sodium sulfate anhydrous aerosols
seldom changed with the aerosol diameter. For mixed-salt
aerosols of NaCl-KCl, only one deliquescence point was found
After the aerosols deliquesced, the diameter growth ratio
depended on mixed ratio and diameter. When NaCl no less than
50% (by mass), it was sodium chloride that contributed to the
deliquescence of aerosols. When KCl was greater than 50%,
potassium chloride was the major species that lead aerosols to
deliquesce.For mixed-salt aerosols of (NH4)2SO4 -Na2SO4, only
one deliquescence point existed when the mixed ratios of (NH4)2
SO4 to Na2SO4 were at 90% to 10%、75% to 25%、50 % to 50% and
10% to 90% (by mass). However, two deliquescence points existed
when (NH4)2SO4 to Na2SO4 at 25% to 75%. When the proportion of
(NH4)2SO4 was greater than 50%, ammonium sulfate was the major
chemial species that resulted in the deliquescence .
