碩士 / 國立中正大學 / 化學研究所 / 85 / Abstract The research for the adsorption of metal ions by
algae is divided into three parts. Part I described the
immobilization of algae and their analytical performance of the
immobilized algae for the preconcentration of trace Cu in water.
Chlorella was used to study the immobilization of algae. Three
different methods , silica gel , polyacrylamide and sodium
silicate , were employed to immobilize algae. The maximum
adsorption sites of algae was evaluated by employing * Scatchard
plot *. The application of silica immobilized algae to
preconcentraion trace amounts Cu was evaluated in several
different solution. From a factor of 100 times of
preconcentration , Cu2+ concentration in tap water and sea water
were founded to be 0.61ppm with 5.48 % of RSD and 0.42ppm with
1.15 % of RSD , receptively. The adsorption study of silica
immobilized algae was extended to Nannochlorpsis. Part II
discussed the determination of metal in algae by the graphite
furnace atomic absorption spectrometry . Microwave digestion was
used for the treatment of algae . Then the graphite furnace
atomic absorption spectrometry was used to measure the
concentration of copper and cadmium in algae . Standard
reference material of nonfat milk (NBS SRM1549) was employed to
verify the accuracy of the measurement .The results from
standard reference material demomenateated that the method can
be used to measure the concentration of copper and cadmium in
algae. Part III described the use of adsorption model to
evaluate the adsorption sites in algae. The objective of this
study is known the adsorption capacity of Cu , Cd , Zn and Ca
onto the algae. Scatchard plot was employed to estimate the
maximum adsorption site of each metal;the adsorption of Ca2+ is
the worst , and the adsorption of Cu2+ and Ag+are better. Also,
the maximum adsorption capacity of Cu ,Cd and Zn were estimated
when the adsorption sites had already saturated with Ca2+. A
simple model to estimate the percentage of overlap between two
metals was proposed. The results indicated that the adsorption
sites of Cu2+ and Ag+ overlapped with those of Ca2+. While, the
adsorption sites of Cd2+ and Zn2+ partly overlapped partly with
those of Ca2+.
