Estimation of Dispersion Coefficient in the Coastal Water of Tainan / 台南海域擴散係數之推估研究

碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 土木工程學系 / 85 / A tidally averaged dispersion coefficient is estimated by
the testing oftracking drifter. The drifter is tracked from the
ship which have installedGPS to measure the ocean current. There
are two testing cases have performedin the near shore region of
the outlet of Gi-Swa River on Nor.1994 and May.1995.The testing
time period are 12 hours and 36 hours of each case, repectively.
By using the method of Taylor theorem and the dispersion patch
method, thedispersion coefficient are established. They are near
the same value of abovetwo methods. The magnitude of order is
about 100m*m/s in north-south directionand is 10 m*m/s in east-
west direction.
